The Healthy You Challenge is just that, a challenge to become a healthier version of who you are right now. It doesn't matter if you need to lose a little or a lot or even if you just want to maintain and make a healthier version of who you are right now you've come to the right place.

This is not a quick fix diet, if you are looking for a fad diet that promises quick and easy results, this is NOT the place for you. You won't find advice on diet or nutrition because I am not an expert in diet or nutrition. I'm the first person to admit that what works for one person, just might not work for someone else. We all have to find the best path to walk. Each journey is as unique as each of us.

What we encourage and celebrate:

  • Pounds lost
  • Exercise - according to your limitations and doctors recommendations
  • Stay on YOUR healthy eating plan
  • Non Scale Victories
  • Goal setting
  • Rewarding yourself
  • Challenging yourself
  • Supporting other bloggers with similar goals, even if they aren't a part of the challenge
  • Asking for help when you feel discouraged


I am one woman who has a lot of weight to lose and wants to give and receive support along the way.

  • Blog Name: how you want your blog listed in the blog roll
  • Blog URL: please open your blog and copy and paste the URL, one little typo will delay the joining process and could possibly send me to the wrong blog or an invalid URL
Before you email me please pick a challenge button from the Challenge Buttons – Celebrating Victories page that is suitable for your blog. This button will let me know that I’m at the right blog and it will let me know that you are actively participating in the Healthy You Challenge.

Why do I need a badge on my blog? Without a badge I’ll assume you’ve quit or are no longer interested in participating and remove you from the blog roll. I simply don’t have the time or resources to keep track of who is posting when. I do my best to visit blogs but some days life gets in the way. This has been the easiest way for me to keep track.

The HYC is a safe place for people to share their personal journey to a healthier way of life. Because of this, only personal blogs will be added to the blog roll. No commercial blogs (ie: selling weight loss items or giving away free ebooks to encourage paid or unpaid membership) or news blogs will be admitted. The HYC is also not for bloggers who just want to link their blog to a site to gain exposure, you have to be genuinely interested in giving and receiving support. There are a lot of other sites that allow this type of linking but the HYC is not one of them.
