Carbs for Weight Loss
Thursday, March 6, 2008
I jumped for joy when I read that headline. For about a year I attempted to follow a carb restricted diet. I know that some people have had success with it but it wasn't for me for so many reasons. Yet still its been a battle with my brain to reinforce that carbs are ok and not only that, certain carbs are really good for you.
My sister emailed an article she found called Nature's Fat-Burning Breakthrough and they list the 6 best fat-burning foods and explain why they are good for fat-burning. The article talks about foods that have a resistant starch, a unique kind of fiber that they assure us we'll be hearing more about.
Again, moderation is the key, all great foods have to be part of well rounded diet. Want to learn more? Just click on the link below to read the article and watch the slide show.

Gosh, it's so hard to know what is good and what isn't. What is fact and what is just the "latest research that will probably change tomorrow!"
Just when you think you know what you are suppose to do another article is published blowing that out of the water.
It's frustrating.
I like potatoes but fact is potatoes don't do my blood sugar levels any favors.
I have to eat a very small one to not impact levels and of course watch other starches in that same meal.
I think individuals have to decide what is best for their bodies and let the research continue to change day in and day out.
It seems like one minute they are saying coffee is bad too and then the next minute it's GREAT!

Is potato a friend or an enemy?
